7 questions to ask before paying for an astrology reading

1. What exactly will I receive?

Ask for a description of the deliverable: a downloadable report, a live conversation, a chart or continuing access. A long report and a short consultation solve different needs. Check a sample so that you can judge whether the level and style suit you.

2. Who or what creates the reading?

Find out whether the text is automatically generated, personally written, or discussed with a named reader. Ask which astrological approach is used and what the product covers. A template-based report may meet your needs, but it should not be presented as a personal conversation.

3. What happens if my birth time is unknown?

Ask which parts of the report remain usable and which are omitted or marked uncertain. A service that substitutes a default time should explain what that means for Rising, houses and other time-sensitive details.

A question to copy: “I know my birth date and place, but not the time. Which sections can you provide without assuming a time, and how will you label anything uncertain?”

4. What is the full price?

Separate a fixed report price from a session charged by the minute. Check the currency, any minimum charge, applicable taxes or fees, and whether an account automatically adds credit. Set a spending limit before starting a timed session.

A question to copy: “What would 20 minutes cost in total, and how do I stop the session before exceeding that amount?” A timer helps you monitor time; do not assume the service enforces your budget unless that control is clearly described.

5. What happens after the introductory offer?

Check when introductory minutes or a trial end, what rate applies next and whether billing continues automatically. A subscription renewal and an automatic top-up of prepaid credit are different arrangements; read the one that actually applies.

6. How do corrections, refunds and support work?

Read the provider’s actual policy for the format you are buying. Ask what happens if you entered the wrong city, a report does not arrive, or a session ends unexpectedly. Do not assume a digital report and a live session have identical correction or refund terms.

A question to copy: “If I notice an incorrect birth time after delivery, can the report be corrected, and is there a charge?” Check that there is a usable contact method. You should be able to understand the policy before making a purchase.

7. Where do my birth details go?

Identify which provider receives the date, time, place and any names you enter. Check whether the information is stored in an account, sent by email or included in a report that could be shared. Ask about retention and deletion if the policy is unclear. Get the other person’s agreement before submitting their details for a relationship reading.

When is it reasonable to stop at a free reading?

If the free result already answers your question, you do not need to buy more. A reading should leave room for your judgment. Guaranteed outcomes, pressure to keep paying to prevent a threatened event, or claims to know another person’s hidden thoughts deserve scrutiny.
